Ron Sparks (comedian)
Ron Sparks (born May 20, 1977) is a Canadian comedian, actor, writer and producer. He was born in Chatham-Kent, Ontario and lives in Toronto, Ontario. He is best known as an alternative comedian and frequent guest on CBC Radio's The Debaters, and on TV as a regular and favourite juror on MuchMusic's highest-rated show, '' Video on Trial'', also starring as The Judge in the '' Stars on Trial'' Christmas special and various other ''VOT'' spin-offs. Comedy Theatre Sparks enjoyed performing in plays and sketches as a student, and at CKSS began writing scripts to perform in drama class and at assemblies. He did a sketch with fellow student Corey St. Peter about a refugee applying for Canadian citizenship at a televised swearing-in ceremony which he claims was met with total silence, saying "we were sure it was because they didn't understand English, but I've come to accept that we probably just stunk." Ronald D. Sparks (born October 29, 1952) is an American politician from the state of Alabama. He is the former Alabama Department of Agriculture and Industries, Commissioner of Agriculture and Industries. Sparks is a member of the United States Democratic Party, Democratic party, and was the Democratic candidate for Governor of Alabama in the state's 2010 Alabama gubernatorial election, 2010 gubernatorial election. Sparks ran the state's Rural Development Agency from 2011 to 2017. Early life, education and career Sparks is a graduate of Fort Payne High School. His parents were divorced, and he was raised by his grandmother. Ron Sparks (born November 23, 1974) is an American mixed martial artist, who formerly competed in Bellator's Strikeforce K-1 King of the cage Revolution fight league American fight league Heavyweight division. Background Born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky, Sparks was introduced to combat sports through his father, a Vietnam War veteran who also worked as a martial arts instructor in the military. Sparks himself began training when he was seven years old, before transitioning into kickboxing when he was a teenager and became a sparring partner for various local boxers and kickboxers. Ron E Sparks (born 4 March 1951) is an Australian radio personality and voice talent. Sparks was raised in Brisbane. Sparks now lives in the north Sydney suburb of Cammeray with his wife and two sons. The "E" in his name "Ron E Sparks" does not stand for anything. It was originally added by program director Rod Muir, who thought that "Ronnie Sparx" sounded too immature, and wanted Sparks to transition gradually to using just "Ron" (which he has resisted doing). Early career Sparks worked in several regional radio stations before moving to Sydney in the 1970s, he managed to score a role on air at the then top rating AM station 2SM as "Ron E.
